2011 WSBK : Aprilia Alitalia Team

The Aprilia Alitalia team enters the 2011 season with the world championship victory celebrations from 2010 a happy memory in the collective consciousness of the whole team. An awesome force in racing, the Aprilia Racing operated squad, with the backing of parent company Piaggio, is set to be a force once again, with current champion Max Biaggi the rider to beat for all his would-be rivals.

Now almost 40 years old, Biaggi is still as hungry for success as he ever was, and his decision to continue racing means only one thing - aiming for the top again.

In Leon Camier the team has a rider still developing as a WSBK competitor, but one who has a huge talent and a burning desire to take his first win in this class, and then go for the championship itself.

The Aprilia RSV4 race machine is a hardcore symbiosis of road and track attributes and despite rule changes that have altered its 2010 specification for the new season; the vee-four machine is expected to be as potent in real race situations as ever. Luigi Dall'Igna once again heads the overall project, with the team management duties again taken on by Francesco Guidotti.
